Workspace assets

Workspace assets are shared images and files that belong to the workspace instead of one personal archive. Use them for reusable covers, workspace logos, sidebar backgrounds, page backgrounds, and media that several members should be able to pick again later.

Open The Library

Open Workspace assets from the sidebar or command palette. The page shows shared workspace images/files with search, filters, sorting, summary cards, uploader attribution, and folder grouping.

Personal archives are separate:

  • Image archive stores images you have uploaded or generated personally.
  • File archive stores personal file attachments.
  • Workspace assets stores reusable shared assets for the current workspace.

Add Assets

Workspace assets are created when you upload through shared workspace flows, such as:

  • workspace logo/branding
  • shared cover picker
  • workspace or sidebar background picker
  • shared media upload flows

Personal archive items stay personal until you explicitly upload them through a workspace-owned flow.

Reuse Assets

When a picker shows a Workspace library section, choose an existing asset instead of uploading the same image again. Active workspace members can reuse shared assets according to their workspace access.

Download Assets

Select multiple assets and choose Download selected to create one ZIP. The ZIP keeps separate images/ and files/ roots and preserves the internal workspace folder grouping when it exists.

Delete Protection

Aurora prevents deleting a workspace asset while it is still used by:

  • a page cover or page background
  • a sidebar background
  • an in-page image/file block
  • workspace branding

Remove the asset from those places first, then delete it from the library.

Encrypted Workspaces

In E2EE workspaces, workspace-logo and shared asset bytes follow the workspace encryption model. Locked encrypted workspaces may not be able to render or reuse those assets until the workspace is unlocked.
