AuroraNotes & AuroraTasks

AuroraNotes and AuroraTasks are companion desktop shells for focused note-taking and task work. They reuse parts of the main AuroraDocs web app, but they are intentionally smaller than the full workspace.

AuroraNotes

AuroraNotes is for quick note work:

  • open notes without the full AuroraDocs navigation
  • create a new note with Cmd/Ctrl+N
  • use the shared editor and note-list chrome
  • use the companion tray menu for quick note creation

AuroraNotes does not expose every main-app surface. Web-only areas such as the full right panel, comments, calendar redesign, sidebar pinning, daily-note UI, mobile PWA shell, and broad workspace administration are not part of the focused notes shell.

AuroraTasks

AuroraTasks mounts the shared task page in a focused shell:

  • list, board, and task detail workflows
  • recurrence and due-date behavior from the main task surface
  • task filters and task-list/status chrome
  • Cmd/Ctrl+N to create a task
  • companion tray menu for quick task creation

Most task-page improvements flow through automatically because AuroraTasks uses the shared TasksPage.

Versioning

Companion app versions track the main AuroraDocs release line only during explicit release/version changes. Their in-app changelogs should mention only features visible inside the companion shell.

When To Use The Main App

Open the main AuroraDocs app when you need:

  • workspace settings
  • sharing and publishing
  • comments/chat/right-panel work
  • graph/canvas/calendar/knowledge surfaces
  • import/export and advanced sync controls
  • admin or billing/account flows

Built with AuroraDocs.
