Sharing & publishing
You can share individual pages with specific people, create public links, or publish pages as standalone websites.
Share with a person
- Open a page and click Share (top right).
- Enter an email address.
- Choose Can edit or Can view.
- Click Send invite.
The recipient can receive an in-app notification, email, or both depending on workspace/account preferences. Aurora shows a generic success state to the sender so it does not expose whether an address already belongs to an Aurora account.
- Click Share → Copy link.
- Set the access policy:
- Anyone with the link — no login required.
- Password protected — visitors must enter a password before seeing content.
Anyone with the link (and password, if set) can view the page without an account unless you choose signed-in-only access. Guest links can have view or edit access depending on the policy you pick.
Publish to web
Publishing makes a page permanently public at a /p/:slug URL with no login required.
- Click Share → Publish.
- Choose a URL slug.
- Optionally set an expiry, password, or signed-in-only access policy.
- Click Publish.
The page is now live at https://app.auroradocs.eu/p/your-slug.
Publishing currently requires a cloud-backed workspace. Browser-only and folder-sync workspaces can still export content, but they cannot expose a public web page from local-only data.
Custom domains
You can point your own domain (e.g. blog.yourdomain.com) to a published page. Add the domain from the publish dialog or Sharing → Published, point the domain at Aurora, open the one-time verification challenge URL, then verify ownership before attaching it to a published page.
Managing published pages
Open Sharing → Published to review every published page in the workspace. From there you can copy links, edit expiry/password/access-policy settings, attach a verified domain, see aggregate access counts and latest access time, or unpublish a page.
Sharing hub
Open Sharing from the sidebar to review workspace sharing from one place:
- Shared with me — incoming access from other people
- Shared by me — direct shares and guest links you control
- Published — public pages, verified domains, and publish-link settings
Analytics in the current sharing hub are aggregate-only. AuroraDocs does not show per-viewer identities on these owner pages.
Revoking access
- To revoke a share link: Share → click the link → Revoke.
- To remove a specific person: Share → click their name → Remove.
- To unpublish: Share → Published → Unpublish, or open Sharing → Published and unpublish from the overview.
Version history
AuroraDocs saves a snapshot every time a page is saved. To browse history:
- Click ··· (page menu) → Version history.
- Click any version to preview it.
- Click Restore to roll back to that version.
History is available for Aurora Cloud workspaces.
