Tags, flags & trash

Tags, flags, and trash help you find, mark, and recover work without turning every temporary state into a permanent structure.

Tags

Type #tag in the editor to create a hashtag. Aurora extracts hashtags from saved content and syncs them into the object's tag property so they can appear in:

  • sidebar tag sections
  • /tags
  • /tags/<tag>
  • database and collection filters
  • embedded query blocks
  • object/page metadata

Use tags for themes, contexts, projects, or lightweight status markers. If a label becomes central to how you work, consider turning it into a custom object type or structured property.

Flags

Flags are temporary attention markers.

To flag an object:

  • click the flag icon in the object header, or
  • right-click an object in the sidebar, object explorer, or favorites list and choose Flag.

Flagged objects appear in the Flagged sidebar section. Use flags for items to review, pages in progress, or anything that needs short-term attention without becoming a favorite.

Favorites

Favorites are longer-lived shortcuts. Use them for pages and objects you open constantly. Use flags for temporary focus.

Trash

Deleted objects go to Trash instead of disappearing immediately. Open Trash from the sidebar or /trash to review deleted objects.

From Trash you can:

  • restore an object when it was deleted accidentally
  • permanently delete an object when you are sure

Permanently deleting an object may remove content and references that other pages expected. Restore is the safer first step when in doubt.
