Journal
A journal entry is a page automatically created for each day. It's a lightweight scratch pad, meeting log, or running diary that keeps your day-to-day writing separate from your permanent knowledge base.
The section is called Journal in the sidebar, and Week Planning shows a lightweight journal strip on each day — a preview and a one-line capture — with a link into the full entry.
Opening today's entry
Click Journal in the sidebar, or press ⌘D.
Today's entry is created automatically if one doesn't exist yet.
Navigating between days
Use the ← → arrows at the top of an entry to move to the previous or next day.
What to write in your journal
Journal entries work well for:
- Morning brain-dumps and priorities
- Meeting notes (link back to the project page)
- Quick captures throughout the day
- End-of-day reviews
Linking from the journal
Use @ to link from a journal entry to any other page. Those links appear as backlinks on the linked page, so you can see every day you mentioned a topic.
Tasks in the journal
Tasks created inside a journal entry are linked to that entry and default to its date as their due date. They also appear in the global Tasks board and calendar view.
